    Eastern Red-rumped Swallow (Daurian) Cecropis daurica [daurica Group]

• Cecropis daurica nipalensis (Hodgson, BH 1837)
  – Himalayas E to SE Tibet and N Myanmar; winters India.
• Cecropis daurica erythropygia (Sykes, WH 1832)
  – India from Punjab east to West Bengal, and south; winters in southern India and Sri Lanka.
• Cecropis daurica daurica (Laxmann, E 1769)
  – Northeastern Kazakhstan east to southeastern Russia (western Amurland) and northern Inner Mongolia, south to south-central China (south to northern Yunnan); winters in southern and southeastern Asia.
• Cecropis daurica japonica (Temminck, CJ; Schlegel, H 1845)
  – Eastern Amurland, northeastern, eastern, and southern China, Korea, and Japan; winters in southeastern Asia south to northern Australia.

    Eastern Red-rumped Swallow (Striated) Cecropis daurica [striolata Group]

• Cecropis daurica mayri (Hall, BP 1953)
  – Breeds in northeast Bangladesh (sight records), northeast India, northern Myanmar, and southwest China (Yunnan). The nonbreeding distribution is incompletely known owing to difficulties in separating this subspecies from subspecies stanfordi, but is, however, recorded at least in eastern and southern Myanmar, northern and central Thailand, northern and central Vietnam ; and probably also in Cambodia. Some remain in the Assam hills year-round.
• Cecropis daurica stanfordi (Mayr, E 1941)
  – Resident in northern, eastern and southern Myanmar), northern and eastern Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and mainly in central and southern Vietnam, in central and southern Annam, and Cochinchina, but perhaps also breeds in western Tonkin, in the north of the country. Perhaps some movement in winter.
• Cecropis daurica vernayi (Kinnear, NB 1924)
  – Resident in northern Tenasserim (southernmost Myanmar) and western Thailand.
• Cecropis daurica striolata (Schlegel, H 1844)
  – Resident on Taiwan and the Philippines (including Palawan, the Babuyans and Batanes; absent from the Sulu Archipelago). In Indonesia, occurs on Java and throughout the Lesser Sundas, east to Timor and Wetar.
