An isolated Bornean population is split from Streaky-breasted
Spiderhunter (Arachnothera affinis). :

- Bornean Spiderhunter (Arachnothera everetti)

    

    Size : 21 cm; 22.2–29.2 g (mean 26.4 g).

    

    Subspecies and Distribution

• Monotypic. (Sharpe, 1893, Mt. Kinabalu, North Borneo)
  – Endemic to Borneo, where it occurs throughout Sabah, including the lowlands, as well as in the mountains in the center and south of the state. In Sarawak: Gunung Dulit and the Kelabit highlands, Belaga, Gunung Mulu National Park, Gunung Penrissen, Tinjar, and Kappa. In Kalimantan: Mt Kenepai and Liang Kubung, the upper reaches of the Mahakam, in Kayan Menarang, the Menyapa Range, and recently discovered in the Meratus Mountains in the southeast of Kalimantan.
