  • Cutia nipalensis nipalensis (Hodgson, BH 1837)
    – E Uttarakhand E to Bhutan and NE Indian hill states (except Meghalaya), NW and N Myanmar and S China (adjacent SE Tibet, extreme NW Yunnan, possibly extending to SW Sichuan).
  • Cutia nipalensis melanchima (Deignan, HG 1947)
    – E and SE Myanmar, S China (W and S Yunnan), NW Thailand, N and C Laos and NW Vietnam (W Tonkin).
  • Cutia nipalensis cervinicrissa (Sharpe, RB 1888)
    – Peninsular Malaysia.
