  – extreme S Thailand (Hala-Bala Wildlife Sanctuary), Peninsular Malaysia (in hills and mountains S to Selangor and Pahang) and Sumatra (Barisan Range).
• Sitta azurea nigriventer (Robinson, HC; Kloss, CB 1919)
  – W Java.
