Subspecies and Distribution
- Monotypic. (Cassin, 1853, Malacca, West Malaysia)
– Restricted to the Thai-Malay Peninsula where it is fairly common, including the offshore islands of Ko Samui (Thailand) and Langkawi (Malaysia), as far south as Kota Tinggi. Scarcer on the east side of the peninsula; and is absent from Singapore.
