    Size : 25–26 cm

    Subspecies and Distribution

• Monotypic. (Sharpe, RB 1878, Kina Balu, North Borneo)
  – Mountains of northern Borneo (Sabah, eastern Sarawak). A single 2018 record from East Kalimantan, Indonesia, near the geographic center of Borneo may indicate that this species occurs across a wider range of Bornean mountains than previously thought.
