• Corvus splendens zugmayeri (Laubmann, 1913, Las Belas, Baluchistan)
  – SE Iran and C and S Pakistan E to NW and NC India.
• Corvus splendens splendens (Vieillot, 1817, Bengal)
  – most of peninsular India (excluding NW part and coastal Kerala) and Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and SW Myanmar.
• Corvus splendens protegatus (Madarász, 1904, Mount Lavinia, Ceylon)
  – SW India (S from N Kerala and W Tamil Nadu), Sri Lanka and, perhaps introduced, Laccadive Is and Maldive Is.
• Corvus splendens maledivicus (Reichenow, 1904, Suvadiva Islands, southern Maldives)
  – Laccadive and Maldive islands.
• Corvus splendens insolens (Hume, 1874, Tenasserim)
  – S Tibet, S Yunnan, Myanmar (including Tenasserim), formerly also SW Thailand.
  
  Introduced and feral populations around the world (USA, Europe, E Africa, Middle East, Indian Ocean islands, E & SE Asia, Australia).
